ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Accounting is the universal language of business that provides and communicates financial data to the organization for managerial decision-making and outside the organization for investment decision-making. The Department of Accounting offers a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accounting degree programs. The courses offered by the Department of Accounting are designed to expose students to a wide range of issues related to analyzing and interpreting financial information that prepare students for success in public and private firms, government agencies, and financial, managerial, and auditing roles. Our courses have a solid reputation and are widely recognized by leading professional accounting associations such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Our alumni have a great base of knowledge for entering the job market and building successful careers in the profession. They are among the most impressive and innovative graduates in their fields as they have reached the highest positions in the local and GCC markets, and you can also be among our alumni who are leaving their mark in many organizations.

OUR FACULTY
We attract academics from various countries who have extensive backgrounds in this field. The faculty in Department of Accounting are committed to an emphasis on teaching, collaboration, and interaction with students. Our approach is to focus on student learning and the active engagement of our faculty with the students. The research interests of our faculty are diverse so our students are exposed to a number of different areas of accounting research. The research interests of our faculty include: financial accounting; auditing; management accounting; and accounting information systems.
