Dr. Mohammad Noor Alam

Assistant Professor

"Dr. Mohammad Noor Alam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting at the University of Bahrain where he has been a faculty member since 2021. He received his Ph.D. degree in Commerce with an emphasis on Foreign institutional investors role in Indian capital market from Aligarh Muslim University, India, and the master’s degree in commerce with an emphasis in accounting and finance from Aligarh Muslim University, India. His research interests lie in the broad areas of accounting, finance, economics. Specifically, his research focuses on the following areas: (1) foreign investments impact on capital markets (2) Economic development (3) Capital markets, stock market indices, exchange rates and (4) CO2 emission and financial development and (5) issues in accounting and auditing, financial analysis Dr. Alam has published one book entitled, “Foreign Institutional Investors and Indian Capital Market” published by Himalaya Publishing House, India. He has served as executive editor/ editorial board for International Journal of Innovative Research & Growth (IJIRG), International Journal of Modern Science and Technology (IJMST). He also reviewed many manuscripts for Studies in Economics and Finance, (Emerald), Cogent Economics and Finance, Cogent Economics and Finance (Taylor and Francis) and Financial Innovation. Dr. Alam teach Financial Accounting, cost accounting, intermediate accounting, auditing, and management accounting at undergraduate and graduate level. He has more than 10 years of teaching experience and previously worked as an assistant professor in Dhofar University, Oman, King Abdul Aziz University, Saudi Arabia, Karwan University, Bakhtar University, Kabul and Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women’s University, India.
