Biography


Dr. Raj is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting, College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain in the Kingdom of Bahrain since October 2021. He carries a reach academic and research experience in accounting and finance. Prior to August 2021, Dr. Raj was employed at the Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, having begun in November 2009. He obtained his doctoral (Ph.D.), Master of Philosophy (M. Phil), Master of Commerce (M.Com.) degrees in Accountancy from Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, Rajasthan, INDIA. Additionally, he also holds Master of Business Administration (MBA in Finance), Law degree (LL.B.), PG diplomas in computer applications (PGDCA), PG diplomas in labor laws (DCLL), PG diplomas in computer accounting and auditing (PGDCAA). Further to this, Dr. Raj has authored three books in the accounting field, completed three funded research projects (sponsored by the Deanship of Scientific Research, PSAU, Saudi Arabia), and had over forty research papers published in peer-reviewed journals (more than twenty-five of which are in Scopus-indexed journals) in SCOPUS, Web of Science (WOS) and Peer reviewed journals. He has participated and presented numerous research papers at national and international seminars. He has supervised dissertations, thesis and capstone projects to graduating, post-graduate students and Ph.D. students. Additionally, he examined doctoral theses from many Indian universities and also reviewed research papers, chapters of various journals and edited books. In addition, Dr. Raj has taken part in a number of faculty development programs (FDP), refresher courses, and workshops. He is an associate editorial member for several journals. Beside this, he has served on numerous academic and administrative committees. Aside from teaching and research, Dr. Raj has served on a number of academic and administrative committees, including the Curriculum Committee, Examination Committee, Students Activity Committee. Quality Assurance and Development Committee, Research and Project Committee, Student Advisory Council, Moderation Committee, Master Program Development Committee. He is a life member of the Indian Accounting Association, a professional association, Indian Accounting Association Research Foundation (IAARF), Member of Alumni Association, Department of Accounting, Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur (Rajasthan) INDIA, Inspira Research Association, Jaipur, INDIA.
