FACULTY BIO

Dr. Abdulla Al-Jalahma is an assistant professor of accounting in the College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain. He currently serves as the chairperson of the Department of Accounting. Abdulla is the Managing Editor for the Arab Journal of Accounting. Abdulla is a member on number of University committees like the Collaberation and Partnership Committee, Finance Committee, Revenue Generating Committee, Admin Staff Pomotion Committee, and Extra Load Committee. Prior to being appointed as a faculty member in 2011, Abdulla worked at the Central Bank of Bahrain as a financial analyst. Abdulla earned his PhD degree in accounting at the University of Nottingham (UK) in 2019 and his MSc in Accounting at Texas A&M University (USA) in 2014. Abdulla’s research interest includes financial reporting, quality of accounting information, corporate governance, and issues of sustainable development.
