FACULTY BIO

"Prof. Qaiser Munir joined the University of Bahrain as a Professor in the Department of Economics; Finance in 2021. Prior to this, Prof. Munir joined IBA Karachi as a Professor in the Department of Economics in 2018. He is a member of the Research Studies Evaluation and Review Committee, Ministry of Planning Development and Reform Pakistan. Prior to joining IBA, he was associated with thnive Uersity Malaysia Sabah (UMS) for 10 years as a faculty member. He completed his Ph.D. at UMS, Malaysia. He teaches courses related to Finance, financial economics, quantitative methods for finance, environment, and energy; public policy; Financial markets; International Capital markets; international finance; Financial Modeling; Financial mathematics; Introduction to business Finance; business forecasting; mathematics for business, economics and finance, business analytics, business statistics, cost-benefit analysis; economic forecasting, international trade, econometrics, microeconomics, and research methods. His research interests range from economics to finance, and has more than 50 publications under his name in renowned national and international impact factor journals. He has supervised thesis and research work of dozens of undergraduate and graduate students. Another distinguishing factor about Dr. Munir is his thorough knowledge of learning management methods (such as the well-known model of Blooms Taxonomy). Along with this, he has hands-on experience with several international accreditation councils and their on-ground application mechanisms."
