Management Ph.D., MBA, BBA (USA) Dr. Soleman Mozammel started his teaching journey by working at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) from September 1995 till December 2002. Being a faculty of business, he taught general management course, but on regular basis he taught Financial, Cost and Managerial Accounting. Besides teaching, Dr. Soleman also took part in development of IUB. He initially designed and implemented IUB’s formal Internship Application process, took administration responsibilities of IUB/MSM MBA venture as the “officer in charge,” when it was initially launched as well as actively participated in many committees such as, curriculum development, internship committee and faculty hiring committee at the then business school. He also played the most important role in creating Business Students’ Society (BSS) of IUB as a co-founder leading committee. Dr. Soleman volunteered as a judge at the IUB debating club as well. Therefore, during his tenure at IUB, he was highly regarded as a faculty member for his dynamic leadership, teamwork, and take-charge aptitude. Dr. Soleman has contributed producing some top level graduates, who are engaged as highly qualified professionals both in corporate and academic world around the globe. He was also highly regarded for his dynamic entrepreneurship skills as a financial/management consultant, family business owner in shipping, industry, fitness center in Bangladesh.
In December 2002, he took a study leave from IUB to pursue Ph.D. in Canada. But there, he took time off from further education and enjoyed a rewarding corporate career as a financial and investment banker, working for two top banks of Canada such as, BMO Bank of Montreal and RBC Royal Bank of Canada for over 10 years.
Post Ph.D., Dr. Soleman returned to academia as a Research Professor in August 2015. Since then, he has published about 25+ scholarly academic papers mostly in ICI, ABDC and SCOUPUS ranked and peer reviewed international journals, participated and presented paper in six international conferences (USA, UAE, Kuwait and Italy), has written two book chapters Published by Macmillan, USA and Printforce, UK). Even his Ph.D. thesis has been published as a book in Germany.
Dr. Soleman Mozammel also achieved Senior Fellowship from highly prestigious Higher Education Academy, UK and therefore, is regarded not only a compatible faculty member, but also an academic leader in British standard. Currently, he just joined as an academician working as a faculty of management at prestigious University of Bahrain (Bahrain's State University, AACSB accredited, and world ranked). Prior to that he worked for Arab Open University (Bahrain franchisee of Open University, UK) and Gulf University respectively and fulfilled academic leadership roles as Director of Quality Assurance as well as most recently Chair of Scientific Research Council (SRC). His area of expertise is HRM (particularly transformational leadership, employee engagement and motivation) in scholarly area.
Apart from the professional life, Dr. Soleman is also an active ambassador of sustainability development. He's also active in sports and enjoys traveling. He is blessed with a family that includes his wife Ms. Jabeen Mozammel, a senior teacher at Toronto District School Board (Canada) and a daughter, Ms. Tasnia Mozammel, who has graduated from University of Toronto and is currently pursuing LLM in the UK. - University of Bahrain - 27 publication, 7 conferences, 2 book chapters, 1 bookAreas of Expertise
