Biography
- Dr. Mesfer Al-Muhanadi is an accomplished academic and Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics and Finance at the College of Business Administration, University of Bahrain. He holds a Ph.D. in Banking and Finance from the University of Salford, UK, where his research focused on the determinants of bank profitability. He also holds a Master of Commerce in Professional Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce in Banking, Finance, and Risk Management, both from Griffith University in Queensland, Australia.
- Dr. Al-Muhanadi has extensive experience in higher education and academic leadership. He has served as Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Office and as Chairperson of the Management and Marketing Department at the College of Business Administration, University of Bahrain. His areas of expertise span banking and finance, strategic management, innovation and entrepreneurship, economic policy, global economic trends, and the economic dynamics of the GCC region.
- He is an active researcher, having contributed to scholarly publications and presented at international conferences. Dr. Al-Muhanadi teaches a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Corporate Finance, Financial Markets and Institutions, Financial Analysis and Credit Evaluation, Entrepreneurial Finance, Commercial Banking, Risk Management and Insurance, and Personal Finance. At the MBA level, he teaches courses such as Global Banking and Financial Markets, and Innovation and Entrepreneurial Strategies.
- Passionate about pedagogy, Dr. Al-Muhanadi emphasizes experiential learning through case studies, research, and interactive class discussions. He is committed to creating engaging, real-world learning environments that equip students with the tools to advance their careers.
- In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Al-Muhanadi is an experienced professional trainer. He has delivered numerous workshops for adult learners and holds a Train-the-Trainer (TTT) certification from the Unit of Teaching Excellence and Leadership at the University of Bahrain.

- Honorary award for delivering a workshop to Media Professionals jointly between BIBF and the Ministry of Information Affairs in celebration of Manama as the Arab Capital of Media during the month of Economic Journalism (30 April 2024)
- Honorary award for my participation in the Scientific Committee of the Youth Entrepreneurship Forum (Micro Shabab) in its fifth edition, from the Initiatives Office of H.H. Sh. Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa at the University of Bahrain ""Initiatives"", the Youth Future Association, and the University of Bahrain (May 2023).
