FACULTY BIO

Dr. Layla Ashoor is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing in the College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Bahrain, Kingdom of Bahrain in 1995. She also received a Diploma in Education from the University of Bahrain in 1995. Her master's degree in Statistics and Operational Research was obtained from the University of Kuwait, Kuwait 2000. Dr. Layla earned her Ph.D. in Management Science from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom 2013. Dr. Layla teaches the following courses: QM200 (Elementary Statistics), QM250 (Introduction to statistics), and QM353 (Business Statistics). Her current research interests include Quantitative methods in Business, Multiple linear programming and Decision science.
