Dr. Abdalla Mohamed Elmezughi is an assistant professor in the department of accounting at UOB College of Business Administration and is the Managerial accounting subject Master level coordinator and governmental accounting Undergraduate level coordinator. He holds a Bachelor of Science in cost accounting from Aljabl Algharbi University, Masters in the economic sciences majoring in accounting from The Libyan Academy and a doctorate (Ph.D.) in management accounting from USQ Australia. Dr. Abdalla’s current research interests include management accounting and control systems, performance management, organizational change, strategic management accounting in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, and corporate social responsibility. Dr. Abdalla was the Director of the Internal Audit Office at UOB. Dr. Abdalla has experience in teaching a number of financial and managerial accounting courses as well as accounting Information Systems and has taught at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at a number of universities including Abu-Dhabi University, Alhosn University, Tahaddi University, National Institute for Administration and Southern Queensland University. Prior to teaching Dr. Abdalla was involved in a number of management positions both in industry and the public sector. Dr. Abdalla is a member of the Libyan Syndicate of Accountants and Auditors and a licensed chartered accountant since 1998. Dr. Abdalla has a number of published articles in a Scopus journal and most recently published a research book about performance management systems and costing systems.
