PROGRAM LEVEL

The program provides students with strong knowledge in Islamic Banking, Islamic financial Jurisprudence and commercial and banking law and to prepare them for employment in the Islamic Financial Services sector.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

a. Understand Islamic Banking principles and concepts and their connections with other business areas.

b. Employ understanding of how Islamic Banking operates in global and multicultural environment.

c. Apply critical and reflective thinking skills to evaluate Islamic Banking information and make sound decisions.

d. Communicate effectively using appropriate technologies to multiple tasks.

e. Demonstrate the interpersonal, collaborative, and leadership skills.

f. Learn tasks independently, professionally and ethically.

PROGRAM INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

a1. Students will identify and apply Islamic finance knowledge and concepts to business situations.
a2. Students will understand the interconnections between Islamic finance and core functional areas of business.

b1. Students will obtain knowledge about international business environments and cross-cultural differences.
b2. Students will identify and analyze major international business environment factors in Islamic finance.

c1. Student will explain concepts used in making business and Islamic banking and finance decisions.
c2. Student will use appropriate tools to make an effective decision.

d1. Student will prepare written documents that are clear and concise, using appropriate style and presentation for the intended audience, purpose and context.
d2. Students will prepare and deliver oral presentations that are clear, focused, well-structured, and delivered in a professional manner.

e1. Students will develop leadership skills necessary to perform effectively in a professional context.
e2. Students will participate in experiential learning understand the benefits of working in teams composed of people from various educational, and work experience backgrounds.

f1. Students will identify and assess ethical, environmental and/or sustainability considerations in Islamic finance decision-making and practice.
